Some type “heard” some lady request why a multitude of black kids here?

When you will find black kids there EVERYDAY swimming in Philadelphia Pa in which the black population in 44% and whitened are 45%

from the population.

Sandals (for that showers/around pools) which means you won’t have any feet fungus, swimsuits, towels, along with a change of garments should you intend on altering there.

It’s also wise to try taking some canned water and perhaps a snack.

its bad in case your pool has an excessive amount of or not enough swimming pool water. your vision will sting and most likely look bloodshot but that always only happens if you do not put on goggles or perhaps your goggles leak. the mouth area and tongue could possibly get very dry and taste bad as well as your tongue may also turn yellow-colored whitened (it’s happened in my experience several occasions before) which could cause sinus problems. the skin may also become very dry and burn and begin bleed since your pores are extremely dry. do not worry though individuals are extremes however they have happened in my experience top notch so their true.

Will walmart take back a swimming pool?

I bought my daughter a $20 swimming pool.. It has a slide on it and it is a blow up pool… I bought it about 2 weeks ago and put water in it.. She swam in it a few times and she will not even use the slide.. she won’t even really play in it… My grandma bought her a plastic one for like $11 and it’s up at her house and my daughter loves that pool!! .. I don’t have the receipt to the pool I have but I have the box.. I let all the air and water out of it and cleaned it out.. I’m going to take it back tonight and exchange it for a different one.. do you think they will do that since I’ve had it for a few weeks?..

I posted it in this section because I thought maybe some parents could relate to this since you have children too!

walmart is pretty good at taking back things without a receipt.
just take it up there to costumer service and say you found another one you like better and want to exchange it.

Ive checked Walmart , Target,Toys R Us, GI Joes, Fred Myer, Kmart…NOBOBY seems to know it is summer and people tend to want to swim during this warm weather…yet EVERYONE is out of stock or whatever. i own a pool company and if pool has a skimmer plug vaccum hose in skimmer and vaccum with pole and vaccum head.pole vaccum head and hose can be purshed cheaper at home depot.you will need a test kit to test for chlorine and ph also.when you add chlorine make sure chlorine is dissolved completely in water.pour chlorine in buket of water then stir.pour chlorine into water.NEVER water into chlorine because of possible fire.always chlorine into water NEVER water into chlorine.for more info i can be contacted at : jldailey2000@yahoo.com

how to maintain swimming pool chemicals?

i have an above ground 18″ x 4′ metqal frame swimming pool….the ones they sell at walmart ….water is cloudy…i clean and check test water..EVERYDAY..i dont usually have a lot of swimmers…occasionally a few neighbor kids
i replace the filter inside the pump once a month and clean it every 2 or 3 days….pump runs 24/7.
how do I help circulation?
if it i start of algea….what kills it fast?
how long can i go untreated before irreversable?
is it best to keep cover on when not in use?

Problem is filtration. To keep a pool clear and sparkling requires 3 things:
Circulation
Filtration
Proper water chemistry
Since you test the water daily the problem has to be one of circulation and filtration. To be frank, the filter systems that come with those pools are a disgrace. To even begin to keep the pool clear they must be operated 24/7. But if you run them that long the life expectancy of the pumps is shortened dramatically. Sorry, but there is no substitute for a quality filter/pump. Wish I had better news. I’ve seen this problem so many times over the years but the manufacturer keeps making the same cheap junk for Wally World.

And I need to buy a new pump for it, the color is blue on the outside and blue and white on the inside. Any ideas where I can buy a pump? Also the pump that came with it is not big enough does not clean it well so I need to get a bigger one!!! Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, ok heres the thing, i love to swim it’s so much fun! I want a pool sooooooooo bad. But my backyard isn’t very big. There is a space that looks big enough, so i counted the feet, and it was 14 x 10. (14 feet long, 10 feet wide). So do you know of any places like Sears, Canadian Tire, Walmart ..ect that sell swimming pools that are made small? I dont want a pumpkin pool or anything, i want a real pool, that is tall like all the others, but not so wide and long.

These pools are big enough for a paddle or a very genteel swim but no one that is actually going to do much more for you than be a bit refreshing.,
To actually SWIm you needa t least 25 metres and 2 metres down.
Go to a public pool that is good, that gets you away to see other swimmers ( good for technique, mixing with like minded people). If you are a multi millionaire, you should still do this, but carry on and have your pretty paddling pool in the garden

the pool tony is talking about is an infinity pool. they are really good if you plan on swimming laps, if not they are kinda of a waste because they are not really big enough to hang out in.

we have one of those pools from walmart – the easy set…has 2 small punctures in side of pool..not in seam…the repair kit that comes with it not doing job..does anyone know of best way to repair the leaks?

drain the water, and then caulk it, let it cure for at least 24 hours and you should be good to go

got a 18′ X 48″ above ground walmart swimming pool. I have found a spot in my yard to put it. I know I’m gonna kill the grass under it. Is there anyway to keep the ground underneath the pool from smelling bad when I take the pool down???
sand is a good idea for leveling the pool, but you will end up tracking most of it in the pool. I’m asking is there any chemical or stuff that people have done to keep the ground from smelling afterwards?

As mentioned, level the ground with a sand bed 1″ thick. It would be best to go ahead and excavate the ground to this depth in the diameter of the pool with an extra 2″ for a hard walled pool or 5″ for a soft walled inflatable ring type. Spread the sand over the ground and level it off. You can also use some landscape edging to surround the area where the sand bed is to keep it in place and look more professional.

*EDIT*
No, there isn’t any special chemical to put down to keep the ground from smelling. You can aerate it if you take the pool down and spread some gardening lime on it to kill the smell but don’t let the kids or animals on the area until it’s completely absorbed into the ground.

Germantown swim center. i believe they have an indoor pool. i have had swim meets there, its basically in the SoccerPlex, just go there and follow the signs. you can go tho the outdoor pool too(but you need a FREE pass), its at kingsview and clopper rd. imin arlington but my sisters live in germantown and we all have little kids andd visit alot, especially in summer

Do you find heated therapy swimming pools too hot to swim in?

My local hospital has cheap swimming in their therapy pool so I thought great bargin. I went and I nearly passed out with the heat. I found I couldnt swim for long and when I got out I was way too hot and even the showers were too warm with no option for cold water!!! It was awful I felt like I had just had a bath with a whole bunch of people not a refreashing swim!!!

My question is can you actually get extra benefits from swimming in a very heated swimming pool – like extra good for circulation etc? Is anyone able to do more then 2 lengths in one without passing out from the heat?!!!!

Hot water can help with alot of things,
like you said blood circulation,
blood clots,
and muscle relaxation.

Things of that nature.
You should ask the hospital if that water is EVEN safe!

A question for swimming mom or dad or anyone who takes small kids to swimming pools.?

I would like to take my just over 2yo to a swimming pool for the first time. As most toddlers he loves water. But I have a couple questions. Do I take his diaper off or do I put his swimming shorts over it? If to take it off what if he pee or poop in the water? If I don’t then it will get all soacked and wet so same problem.

My second question is does he need a life saving jacket? I am not a good swimmer but I wouldn’t take him anywhere near deep areas but just wander if by law toddlers need those jackets?

Does he pee or poop in the bath at home? Most likely he’s not pooping in it at his age and your worry that he’ll do it at the pool isn’t necessary. Although, he’ll probably sneak in a tinkle as most kids do, I’ve never been convinced those Little Swimmers would actually keep in a pee. How water tight can they be? The pool is chlorinated for accidents like that but to help prevent them make sure he pees before he goes in the water (he’s not allowed in the pool until he pees in the potty or toilet).

No laws on life jackets here, just don’t take your hands off him. You can also buy a swimsuit with floaties in it just in case, but again, it’s not law. Just precaution.

Can kids peeing in a swimming pool turn it green?

We have one of those blue pools you buy at Wal Mart for fairly cheap. It’s 17 feet wide and a little over 4 feet deep. We will fill it with water and let our daughter swim in it, and after a week with no chemicals in it, it will still be crystal clear, but within 12 hours of the neighbor’s kids getting in it, the water turns green! Every time!!!!! Are those little brats peeing in my pool? Because if it’s just our family in the pool, the water will stay clean for at least two to three weeks, but the morning after the neighbors spend an hour in the pool, the water is green and all skuzzy! Anyone have any idea what could be going in here? Am I right?

No. First of all it would take a lot of pee to fill your whole pool and turn it green (it would eventually over-flow). Second of all, maybe when your family gets in your pool their clean and nothing on their feet your pool stays clean, but when the neighbor kids get in it they have been walking to your house and playing outside getting dirty therefore, tracking everything they’ve played in to your very own pool! Another explanation is leaves, bugs, sticks, etc. blowing into your pool after your family gets out.

where to buy or how to make a swimming pool table for kids to learn to swim – to stand on?

They are made from PVC pipe or similar and are put in the pool – I assume they are filled with water – and the kids can stand on them to learn to swim. They have a bar at the top to hold onto. Thanks!

i learned to swim when i was in kindergarten in a 3 feet deep pool and moved on from there
i think kids will be able to learn easily how to swim the way i learned it than the way you are thinnking because it will feel more like “swimming” and help kids get a better feel of the movements

Do this DAILY:

Check pH. It needs to be between 7.2 and 7.8 for the chlorine to work well. If the pH is out of whack, the chlorine won’t kill the algae. Adjust if necessary. Do this BEFORE doing anything else. pH may take up to a day to adjust (its slow) so do not keep trying to adjust it hourly.

Shock: Add concentrated chlorine (shock) until you have >8ppm.

Algicide: Add a commercial anti-algae agent.

Clean: Vacuum out the green algae on the bottom to waste (exhaust the green water out of the pool, not just through the filter and back into the pool). Add clean water to keep the water level correct.

Repeat: Keep doing this daily and it will get better one day at a time. Normal time to clear up is about a week. Sorry, it just takes that long.

In Massachusetts, is there a law that sets an age for kids to be old enough to go swimming in a private (like in my backyard) swimming pool alone?

I highly doubt it – I haven’t heard of such a thing, and I’m a MA resident. Besides, it’s your pool, not a community one. Just like how there isn’t a law on how old a child has to be to stay home alone (I even checked a law website).

I got my little ones a small pool with a little slide and a sprinkler in it…they loved it and it wore them out for nap and bedtime also.. just never leave them unattended. which you already know but thats for the few that do or would leave them alone… so have fun and enjoy.

My friend is an emergency room physician and he says next to motorcycle accidents, kids in swimming pool accidents are their biggest patients!
Be sure it’s fenced. (It’s a law in Calif.)
Install an alarm to sound if someone falls into the pool when you’re not in attendence.
Start the child with lessons ASAP. Private lessons are best.
Absolutely no running around the pool.

If you have nothing to loose like unemployment benefit or housing benefit etc then go for it but don’t expect to make much money. I have been in telesales for 15 years and the past 4 was in alarms, which were not doing to well and the boss decided to try solar panels, we spent 2 weeks trying and no one was interested, I was made redundant in january and done some part time telesales for a well know double glazing company who also do solar panels but again no one wanted them. Customers just laugh and tell you they cant afford them. The leasing companies are not giving anyone finance at the moment, anyone getting one has to have permission from their council and that puts them off. I don’t want to dishearten you but be prepared to work very hard, spend hours in someones house trying to sell them for very little return. Unless yo have years of high pressure selling in the home improvement market you wont like the job. Good luck.

I am a jew and have to work on saturday and Its killing me inside. What can I do?

I used to build swimming pools for 19yrs until a divorce and the economy went bust. It took me a year to find this lousy car sales job and now I cant even worship on sabbath. I just don’t know what to do, I have asked for saturdays off because of my faith but they just don’t care. Any Jewish impute would be greatly appreciated.

G-d made the Sabbath holy. Man cannot ‘create’ a new Sabbath just as he cannot create a new Universe. So as much as it may be that a different day suits YOUR taste as a ‘holy’ day of worship, it was NOT instituted by G-d. So good luck with that.

An Orthodox Jew would never take a job that required him to work on the Sabbath. That would have been discussed during the INTERVIEW, not after you have already agreed to work their schedule. But, if you are Jewish, how can I tell you something you already know?

Whats more effective in raising the pH in a swimming pool – sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate?

the pool supply store sales sodium carbonate….. everywhere else sales baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). i was told i could use baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) instead of the sodium carbonate bought from the pool supply store. ok, i know it will do the same; BUT from a cost perspective. the carbonate sales for $5.86 for 4lbs and baking soda for approx $.69 a pound.
so, how much bicarbonate will it take to equal the effectiveness of the carbonate? for example does it take 2lbs of bicarbonate to equal the effectiveness of 1lb of carbonate? whats the ratio if any.

One mole of sodium carbonate (Na?CO?) is twice as effective as one mole sodium bicarbonate only one (NaHCO?) for raising the pH, because it could form the double amount of:
OH? ions:
CO?²? + H?O ?? HCO?? + OH?
