Kayaking accessories are available to expand a paddlers’ experience and enjoyment. One of the most crucial pieces of equipment are those that help in transporting the kayak from place of storage to paddling destination.
Kayak Trailers are the ideal piece of kit to make moving a kayak a simple task. Aluminum and steel are the most common of the construction materials, with trailers able to accommodate a single, multiple or six of more kayaks with ease. These robust kayak trailers are able to haul a kayak or canoe on the highway to that paddling lake of choice. Also, the lightweight models can double up as a hand-cart so that the kayak can be taken right down to the lake.
One type of kayak that offers ease in transportability is that of the folding kayaks. The foldable kayaks are lightweight, often built with aluminum frames and coated with a tough and durable boatskin. In most cases these kayaks can be assembled in 15 to 30 minutes or so depending on the ease of build and manufacturers guidelines.
The easiest of the kayaks to transport are the inflatable’s. The inflatable whitewater kayak is built to tackle the roughest of waters, offers a stable platform, often small in size, say 10 foot or so, and gives great control. And storage is a simple case of deflating and storing in a closet until that next trip.
Whether its a pre planned wilderness trip or a spur of the moment trip to a quiet mountain lake, there are a variety of kayaking models to give excellent stability and comfort.
