I KNOW THERE ARE WEB SITES AVAILABLE WHERE I CAN BID ON CONSTRUCTION JOBS. I THOUGHT ONE WAS “BLUE BOOK” BUT THAT WAS FOR AUTO VALUES.
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE ARE TWO MAJOR ONES
AND WOULD PROBABLY NEED TO PAY FEE FOR USE.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND THESE RESOURCES?

Sandra asks…
Just a little beginning to my book please tell me what you think.?
This is just the beginning to my book. This girl and her family are moving to a new place. After the girl gets comfortable later on and meets new friends she is going to find an old ragged book at a second hand store that catches her eye. The book eventually takes the girl and her freinds on different adventures. I just want to see what people think of how I am starting it out. Thanks
I was sitting in the back seat of the car, my dad, Jim was driving while my mom sat on the passenger side. My face was pressed against the glass of my window, I could feel the coldness, like ice, on my face, being since it was fourty something degrees outside. While I sat there with my head rested all I could do was daydream about what was going to happen, having to move to a new town:
The fact of moving didn’t thrill me at all. Being seventeen meant a new school, new freinds and new places. I didn’t know how I was going to cope with all of this, though meeting new people seemed interesting. The only things that really bothered me more about the idea was the fact of leaving my old house that I practically grew up in and leaving all my friends behind. I knew I could write to them and see them occasionally, but it was still agonizing to me. I kept playing it over and over in my mind about how the new place was going to be. We were moving from Alabama which is a very warm state all the way to Minnesota, which meant cold weather. The cold doesn’t bother me though. So that I could live with.
“Lizzy, are you okay back there?” my mom asked. “You havn’t said a word since we left the house two hours ago.” After taking a deep breath I answered her. “I am fine mom, just thinking.” Out the corner of my eye I could see her starring at me. I don’t know why she does that, she knows it bothers me when I am starred at. My mom was very attractive, her hair was dark and half way down her back, her skin was slightly pale and she had the prettiest blue eyes I had ever seen, and having a body to die for. I have always been very close to my mom, more like best freinds. My dad on the other hand was a totally different story, I didn’t get to see him much, he was always working, actually, that is why we are moving, so he can go with his job. He works with a construction company building those big, fancy mansion like homes. When the company found better business oppurtunities, it didn’t take them long to decide to up and move.

After the long ride we finally arrived. This would be my first time to see the house. When I first layed my eyes on it all I could think of was a palace. It looked as if it was built in the early eighteen hundreds with two story floors. The windows were as big as one of my walls at my old house, which was a fairly large house itself. The deck on front wrapped around to the sides of the house with gigantic cloumns leading up to the second floor deck. I’ll admit it seemed a little creepy at first, like one of those houses you would see in an old scary movie. When I stepped into the house, the sight was amazing. Through the back door was a den, a den large enough to fit a four family house inside. The ceilings were high with ceiling fans in every room. There were fireplaces everywhere, those big fireplaces that have the wood work design engraved on them. The living room and kitchen were attached on each end of the den. The kitchen wasn’t as large as the rest of the rooms, but it still seemed to big to be a kitchen. The living room on the other hand was enormous in size. The fireplace in there had an old picture hanging above it of what appeared to be a lady and a child, it was really hard to tell from all the dust that was covering it. All through the house was old timey hardwood flooring, it really gave the house a nice touch.

Joseph asks…
Value of a Chevy S10 pickup truck (1988)?
My son needs a pickup truck. He is working for Pizza Hut, and instead of making pizzas, they are going to use his expertise at construction to repair area Pizza Hut resturants. I saw a Chevy S10 Pickup on Craigslist that I can get for $500. (they wanted $650). The Kelly Blue book listing online only goes to 1989 for this model. This one is 1988. Can someone look up the Kelly Blue Book Price for this model? It is rusty, but runs good, so I would say “fair” condition. From the photo on Craigslist, it appears to be a standard cab, not extended.
The listing said 132,500 miles

Wize Guy answers:
if it runs good then thats a good price make sure you check and see how many miles are on it and maybe check the car fax.
