David asks…
Can anyone please tell me how to download free encyclopedia?
Please don’t tell me about encyclopedias and encyclopedias that cost money. I just want free encyclopedias

Wize Guy answers:
You don’t have to download them, they are available online for free. See below for an example:

Sharon asks…
Are there better free internet encyclopedia than Wikipedia?
I love Wikipedia.org but I want a more reliable free encyclopedia.
I want the encyclopedia to be allowed to cited for college papers.
I want the encyclopedia to feature Pop Culture, Psychology, Education, Law, and as vast or as close to as vast as wikipedia.
* note: I am not using Wikipedia as a source for papers, or research for school. I set the standard for the encyclopedia I am searching for as being “citation worthy” of a college paper. I just like to read the articles but then I feel like I don’t know if I am perpetuating non-factual ideas.
I am an early childhood education major and a closet nerd.

Wize Guy answers:
http://www.britannica.com/ http://www.webopedia.com http://www.encyclopedia.com// BUT r they better ..i doubt! http://english.berkeley.edu/Postwar/pop.html i think this will suit u http://www.ipl.org/

Sandra asks…
Does Wikipedia (or any other online free encyclopedia) replace a $500 published encyclopedia?
I have always heard salesmen say how much more useful published encyclopedias are, yet free online encyclopedias like Wikipedia seem so complete. Is the investment worth it?

Wize Guy answers:
Pros: Online encyclopedias are free, and constantly updated, so you can always get the most current information. Also, they don’t take up an entire bookshelf in your house. And you’ll never have to dispose of outdated books.
Cons: Anyone can post anything they like, whether or not it’s the actual truth, so there could be some misinformation. Sites like Wikipedia have teams of people who edit and verify the information, but there’s still plenty of bad info out there, so use with caution.

Maria asks…
Is there a free encyclopedia online that is really reliable, with true and neutral articles -unlike wikipedia?
In English, or in French?
Thank you
@Eri and Victoria : Are you kidding me? Wikipedia doesn’t provide reliable info, it’s sometimes biased because it’s written by the audience…Anyone can write something on Wiki, even someone that has no knowledge…That’s why many articles are wrong or uncomplete…

Wize Guy answers:
Microsoft Encarta is very good one its translated in many languages.
Are you allan d? dude no ofence but i want to be honest to you this tutti frutti stuff sounds gay dont take it personal.

Lisa asks…
Where can I get an MTG encyclopedia free?
I just want a listing of all cards (with pictures and description) from the first set to present either downloadable or online for free. I know its alot to ask for but any help would be appreciated.

Wize Guy answers:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx
That’s a complete database of all the cards that was ever released in Magic.
