Where can I go to get my tires rotated?

I live in DeLand, Florida USA and I have zero car mechanical skills. I open the front hood and I instantly get lost. However, I need to get my tires rotated and I don’t have a clue where to go. Will my local Walmart automotive take car of it or do I have to go to a more specialized shop? Any tips are welcome.

Wize Guy answers:

I wouldn’t trust Walmart to wipe my *$$. The dealer can do it. Plenty of those oil changing places are doing it. It’s easy money to them & simple. Be sure that they double check the air pressure & torque the lug nuts to the required specs. Call around to Jiffy Lube & places like that. AMF!

Sell to Walmart?

I am developing a sales strategy for a line of LED products. They could be used BY Walmart as signage with a programmable message, or they could be SOLD BY WALMART in hardware, automotive, sporting goods, or garden departments.

Does anyone have experience dealing with WALMART?
Assuming there are specific buyers for each department, how do I get their attention?

Many thanks.

Wize Guy answers:

Sounds like a product that already exist. Hard to sell something that is already out there.

But, your local Wal-Mart will get you the phone # for the regional purchaser. I know local growers that sell their produce at the local Wal-Mart’s and do quite well, they just had to contact the regional buyer and set it up!

Where can I have my car battery cleaned?

My car is having trouble starting because the battery is dirty and not holding a charge properly. I would clean the grime myself, but don’t have the tools to unbolt the covering over it.

I’m taking a trip to another state this weekend and really don’t want to mess it up worse, so I’m willing to have someone else do it.

I can’;t get hold of my mechanic, but despertely need this done tomorrow. Can I go to the automotive area of Walmart or car parts store, or should I post an ad for a mechanic on Craigslist?

Wize Guy answers:

The best thing is to use a wrench and loosen the battery terminals, use a wire brush and clean the post and terminals, If you are not holding a charge then the battery may be bad, most all part stores will test and replace the battery free of charge, you just have to pay for the battery if it is bad

What is the best way to get water out of your vehicle other than with just a shop vac?

I left all four windows down the other night b/c naturally in Arkansas we weren’t expecting rain. All of sudden at some point in the night it comes a down pour. There was about three inches of standing water in my back floor boards. I need to know if there is anything that can help absorb the water before it mildews other than using just a shop vac to suck it up. Something that walmart or a local automotive shop sells would be great! Thanks!

Wize Guy answers:

Use a shop vac. That is the only way besides trying to absorb it with towels.
