John asks…
How much are beanie babies worth and which ones are worth the most?
I have many different beanie babies with the ty tags on them. They are in great condition. Where can I sell them? What is the value of them generally speaking? Anyone know?

Wize Guy answers:
Unfortunately, Beanie Babies have not gone up in value since their popularity a few years ago. In fact they’re probably worth less than what you paid for them. If you can take an inventory of what you have and try to sell them in groups. For example sell your Halloween beanies around Halloween. Sell your Valentine Beanies around Valentines Day etc. You might get face value if you sell them around different parts of the year. I would recommend trying to sell your Beanies on Ebay or you could participate in a local flea market and sell them there. If you find you are having difficulty selling them you could always donate them to a Childrens Hospital or charity and take a tax deduction from the donation. Good Luck!

Steven asks…
How do you find out the generation of beanie babies?
I’m trying to find out the value of my beanie babies and the book I have gives like two or three prices for each beanie, and the prices depend on the generation. How do I find out the generation?

Wize Guy answers:
You have to look at the hanging and/or tush tags on each item. These tags have gone through changes during each line of production, so they have been used to distinguish the different “generations.” Hope the following website helps!

Mary asks…
How much can retired beanie babies without the heart shaped tag sell for?
I want to sell these beanie babies I have had forever but when I was little I took all of those heart shaped tags off. How much should I start the bid at?

Wize Guy answers:
Sorry but I do not believe that the beanie babies without tags are worth anything.
That is one of the things that has the value to them.

Daniel asks…
Can beanie babies be washed in the washing machine?
I got a rather large collection of mini TY beanie babies fron the mcdonalds collection. They are pretty dirty from my sister playing with them. They are covered in dog hair too. I want to know if I can put them all in the washing machine. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Most of the tags are already gone. I’m not planning on ever selling them. They are just household toys anad collections personaly to me.

Wize Guy answers:
I did it before, it works and then you can pout them in the dryer a little bit to make them fluffy again

Lisa asks…
How do I store my beanie babies without them getting mildew damage?
I have about 200 beanie babies and really would like the space, but am afraid of damage!

Wize Guy answers:
You can get these great air tight bags from pretty much any store such as Kmart, Walmart etc… you put blankets, clothes, stuff like that in them and then suck all the air out with a vaccuum cleaner, they are sealed untill you open then and personally Im amazed at how same they can make things go!! I thin kthis would be prefect for beanie Babies for sure! =)
