Maria asks…
How do i get past the TOS on second life?
So i’ve DLed it to my pc now idk what type of internet explorer i have but i have xp. The ToS won’t load so i can’t play. any help?

Wize Guy answers:
It’s not XP – it’s the stupid viewer (software) they give you to download. It’s a menace and that thing about not displaying the ToS is a common issue.
What you need to do is download an alternative viewer and the best one is here: http://www.phoenixviewer.com/
For XP you will want the first Windows version, Windows SSE
That should resolve the problem for you. Once you are in Second Life you can try the official Linden viewer, but I much prefer the Phoenix viewer.

Sandy asks…
Is it a Violation of the TOS if I call Bush a Mass Murderer? Am I a criminal?
I’ve often compared Bush to the likes of a mass murderer based on his lying to the public and witholding information from our legislative bodies that would have placed serious questions as to the validity of a preemptive attack.
I can’t imagine how many times I have seen the same assesment and conclusion by many others here on Yahoo.
I recieved an email today from someone who disagree’s, they have reported me to Yahoo and the FBI. They think I am a threat to the president and I have violated the TOS.
Did I?
Peace

Wize Guy answers:
you will never know for sure what you were in violation of. they give no reason for their decisions. i had my account suspended for exactly what i was never sure of, i asked several time for y/a to be specific. all that i rec’d was a email saying that my appeal was denied.
i think that someone took exception to an answer of mine and looked up my questions and/or answers and complained. i rec’d 8 violation notices and then my account was suspended, all within 24 hours.
btw, i do agree with your assessment of bush. some of the posters to your question make me laugh. an insult from a con reads like a compliment to me.
all it takes is someone with a grudge. under the new format, you do not have an opportunity to add details, it is either or.

Ken asks…
How Can I Get an Answer as to why I was sent an TOS Violation email?
I was sent an email from Yahoo stating that I violated the TOS. How can I find out how I violated the TOS and find out why they feel this way? I have no clue as to what is going on.

Wize Guy answers:
I’ve had a few of those. It happens when somebody reports your question. You can put in a rebuttal. Read the entire email.

Donald asks…
I’ve been accused of violating the TOS, how do I find out what I have done wrong so I can correct the problem?
I joined a fantasy football league and I can’t figure out how I violated the TOS I’ve been sending messages to other members and making player changes and I can’t understand how that violates anything.

Wize Guy answers:
who told you you were violating TOS? generally, Yahoo will directly e-mail you themselves and it’s pretty unmistakenfrom Yahoo.

Ruth asks…
How do I appeal a TOS violation?
I received a notice that I violated the Yahoo Message Board TOS. It did not state when, or which TOS I violated. And the last time I used the message boards was in 1999, with only one post-ever. How do I find out what, and when I did worng, and how to appeal it?

Wize Guy answers:
The notice you received has the option included to appeal. Read it again and you will find it.
