Choosing the right truck wheels or tires depend greatly on the kind of truck you are driving, the amount of load or the weight of your truck or bus, and the kind of terrain you will be driving on. There are lots of truck tires available in the market today. There are tires for the different kinds of application. The types of application would mean the kind of vehicles:

· Emergency Vehicle

· Long Haul Truck

· Mixed Service Truck

· Pickup/Delivery Truck

· School Bus

· Utility Vehicle

Aside from the different types of applications, one should also consider the wheel position where the tire will be placed. It is equally important to determine such because there are also different kinds of tires for the steering, drive or the trailer wheels. There are, however, tires for all wheel positions. But if you consider a tire for maximum performance, then it is advisable to use the tires designed for the particular purpose.

Another aspect to consider in choosing the right truck wheels or tires to use are the kinds of roads the vehicle is expected to travel through. If the vehicle is limited to travel along the highways then they will likely need tires that will provide dry and wet traction, help promote many miles per gallon of fuel, help promote long mileage and even tread wear for optimum cost of operation. When the vehicle is also expected to travel through off roads, then one will need tires that will ensure excellent wet and dry traction, and one that will resist cuts, chips or punctures for enhanced toughness.

After all these factors are considered in choosing the right truck wheels or tires, one should now have a healthier peace of mind knowing that his vehicle is safer with the right kind of tires. The right set of tires can define the safety of the entire ride.
