Carol asks…

How much are the round hard plastic kids swimming pools from walmart or target?

I’m talking about just the basic, blue, hard, plastic pools that come in a few different sizes. They’re normally out in the garden section or at the front of the store. For some reason the two stores don’t list them on their website. :( Anyone remember seeing the prices? Thanks!

Wize Guy answers:

At Walkmart you can get one for about $30, I’m not sure how much they are at Target though.

Michael asks…

Does anyone have one of those swimming pools that Walmart sells?

You know, the ones that when you fill with water the top ring raises. Is it worth it? What are your opinions on it?

Wize Guy answers:

its half way decent the first summer, but after that it is worthless!!!!! i just buy one every summer cause they are not worth messing with.

Sharon asks…

can I buy the salt you need for salt water swimming pools at walmart?

Wize Guy answers:

I don’t think ive seen it at walmart, but Home Depot usually carries it, and Sams Club has Morton Pool salt for $6 for 40lbs. I wouldn’t pay more than $6 or $7 for a 40 pound bag. Pool stores usually charge too much for it. You can also use water softener salt as long as its not too big of pieces, it will just take longer to dissolve.

Chris asks…

when will walmart put their swimming pools on clearance?

I would like to buy one for a home birth.

Wize Guy answers:

Most likely in the minter, when the sales and demand for it go down. I would not suggest using one for that, though.

I may sound a bit angelina Jolie here, but the actual best and healthiest way to give birth, which i learned in a health class, is to do it how they do in remote african vilages.

They go out into the fields, where theyre ids tall, soft grass. they bring the supplies, and a chair, and a padded box.

They then have the mother stan, while being supported with the chair, and she would squeese the baby out there, where the other woman, who has given birth before, gets the baby. they best position for birthing is standing up because A- the baby comes out easier, and B- lying down makes the baby scrape against your spine.

also gravity is helping pull the baby out, so it is less painful

PLEASE, TRUST ME ON THIS!

Joseph asks…

How does the filter work in the inflatable swimming pools they sell at walmart? Are they electric or what?

Wize Guy answers:

Yes the pumps are electric. They need to run at least 6-8 hours a day. The pump is used to circulate the water, while cleaning it as well. however, the filters become clogged eventually. (I clean mine, or change it about 1 time a week). The filters can be washed out after you remove it from the pump. But be sure to plug the water outlets to the pool before out open the pump (also be sure to unplug the electricity before opening the pump. Its really pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
