Michael asks…

Do Method cleaning products still have a no animal testing policy?

I recently saw some new Method products in my grocery store and they no longer carry the label of no animal testing. What’s up?

Wize Guy answers:

Their website says they still do not test on animals:

Donald asks…

do any moms use Method cleaning products?

if so, what is your favorite product and scent? are there any Method products that you have found don’t clean as well as you would have hoped?

Wize Guy answers:

I use a few of them. I recently switched over to Method Shower Cleaner. It is a spa smell. I really like it. Its not the clean/lemony/laundry like smell I’m used to with cleaners, but it really does smell like a spa. Its very mild. My family uses it immediately after they use the bath/shower. They spray the tub down or the spray the shower down and leave it. My shower stays nice and clean and my bathroom smells fresh.

I used the window cleaner they have and I was not all that impressed with it. It wasn’t that it didn’t work, I just found I got faster results using my good ole fashioned Windex. But I do enjoy their products. I like the look of the bottle to. Very clean and uniform. They also don’t look like an eye sore when I leave them sitting on the ledge in the shower for people to use. Unlike some other cleaners. =)

Mark asks…

Do Method cleaning products clean and disinfect as well as traditional cleaners with bleach and ammonia?

I would like to change over to biodegradable, greener cleaning options, but I don’t know if I can get rid of my Lysol! Any suggestions? Should I go half and half?

Wize Guy answers:

I have been using method for about five years now. It does a great job. All the disinfectants that are used routinely in many households are actually counterproductive……we build up immunities to the common germs that we are exposed to over time. Also, most any cleaner will provide a certain amount of disinfection.

Laura asks…

Why was Method cleaning products taken off of the shelves in PA?

So far they’ve been taken out of Wegmans.

Wize Guy answers:

Method Home Cleaning products are still available at Target, at least the last time I checked. They are biodegradable, toxicity-free, and not tested on animals but have been criticized for being too vague as to the ingredients in some of their products. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Sandy asks…

I was recently in Boston and I was introduced to Method Cleaning Products. They are safe for the environment.?

Do any stores carry this brand or do I have to buy them online?

Wize Guy answers:

We have that here, too (Canada).

http://www.methodhome.com/ includes a Where To Buy section. Enjoy!
