Read your book and do your own homework.

Ken asks…

Republicans, why do you opposed Obama’s stimulus?

I work in the manufacturing industry. I am a sheet metal worker. If some of the provisions for infrastructure rebuilding get passed, that means the companies in the area will have more contracts from the government to rebuild power lines, sewage lines, renovate buildings and build bridges. There would be more work to do for metal fabricators like me.

We desperately need more work, not tax cuts or stimulus checks.

A tax cut for small business won’t get me my job back and will only help the bottom line of the company a little bit, and a stimulus check will only help me pay my mortgage for one month. I need work.

A stimulus bill that focuses on infrastructure will generate more contracts, which will put many of us back to work, and give the businesses and small business owners much needed income to invest in other things.

Understand, that even the so called “pork” generates jobs in the form of teachers, councilors, and health care workers. Construction is not the only form of stimulation. Renovation of a building still puts painters, cleaners, HVAC workers, plumbers, and electricians to work. That is stimulus, not Republican tax cuts, but honest to goodness work.

A 500 dollar tax cut wont help me. A 20000 dollar tax cut for my small business wont help him or the company. We need CONTRACTS! We need that so called “pet project” to get us working.

Isn’t it the conservatives who champion hard work. Well, let us work hard instead of giving us “tax breaks” which is little more than “free money” Let me work for my money, don’t give me tax breaks.

Wize Guy answers:

well said. i think thats the best arguement so far. But we do need tax cuts, the wealthy in this country are ridiculously over taxed, while the poor pay almost nothing. keep in mind that its mostly the poor who benefit by the public services bought with the wealthy’s tax dollars.

What in the world are you asking? Even if this were real, your lack of ability in English grammar alone would likely disqualify you for this job.
