Anthony Pettis vs Ben Henderson – Flying Ninja Matrix Head Kick WEC 53 MMA

Anthony Pettis brought the entire world Extreme Cagefighting promotion to a result in style on Thursday night, putting an exclamation point about the promotion’s final MMA event by beating Ben Henderson, using just about the most incredible kicks in the history in the sport to seal the victory.

The kick all but defies description: Pettis jumped in to the air, pushed off the fence with his foot and landed an amazing head kick at the end with the fifth round, putting an emphatic ending on his unanimous decision victory. The kick appeared as if something from a fighting styles movie, but Pettis said it’s something he and his coach happen to be implementing.

“Duke Roufus, we practice that enough time,” Pettis said. “I’ve got 10 more of those kicks coming when I’m in the UFC. How do you like this to get rid of the WEC?”

Your struggle started well for Henderson, who backed Pettis around the cage using a great combination in the first round, then held Pettis against the cage and at last took him down. The next round would be a strange one: Pettis shot set for an early takedown and got Henderson’s back on the floor, anf the husband then proceeded to pay the majority of the third round on Henderson’s back, with Henderson upright.
