Everyone knows just how painfully irritating and embarrassing it is to try to treat yeast infections! But in today’s world we have a distinct advantage of have a huge amount of treatment options available to us almost 24 hours a day. Various treatments can include expensive prescriptions or OTC medicines. We are going to focus on more natural treatments in this article. This means that you won’t have to go to the pharmacy and search for just the right product.

How many of us really even know what a yeast infection is or what can cause it? Yeast is found naturally inside a woman’s body, it only turns into an infection when it becomes an overgrowth or excessive. Simple things can cause them like wearing non-breathable fabrics, clothing that is too tight or even wearing a wet or damp bathing suit for too long.

A very common and all natural cure is to use an organic and sugar free yogurt. With this treatment option there are several ways that it can be used. The first way to use this is to apply the yogurt to the area that is irritated as it will help to cool the burning itch. The next way that is recommended using it is to take a small amount on a tampon and insert it into the vagina. Lastly and perhaps the easiest method of use is to eat a few large servings every day.

We have found two other treatments that we would recommend; they are Apple Cider Vinegar and Garlic. The Apple Cider Vinegar is very easy to use since it is just used topically. It can either be added to a warm bath so that you can just soak in it, or it can be used as a wash that is mixed with water just prior to use. The garlic on the other hand is like the yogurt in how you use it. It can be consumed or it can be Crushed into a paste and smeared on the area that hurts.

As with any new treatment options you should always consult your physician prior to starting.
