Is Laptop Size That Important?

without comments

The question in mobile computing has become, “Does size and weight really matter or is it more important to have a powerful workhorse computer that allows you to fit every piece of software and save as many data files as will fit on your computing device?” Another matter may be whether the smaller dimensions are more worthwhile or if the light-weight portability is the main matter. I think the availability of different types of portable computers in today’s day and age lets us truly personalize our productivity machines into something that works for all of us and doesn’t have to be typical for all.

The release of the cutting edge macbookair by Apple has really given us a selection with the size and what kind of computer we lug around with us everyday. At less than 3 pounds and wafer thin, we don’t have to strain our muscles every time we travel. It has a 13 inch display and a full-size keyboard. Why wouldn’t I be interested? This is the very feature I have been calling for.

When I first observed the advert for the MacBook Air with a slim, easy to transport computer coming out of that envelope, I was simply shocked. Now, that’s what I’ve been hunting for. Now it doesn’t have to be a workout to take my laptop with me any longer! No extra bag that can weigh almost as much as the portable computer, no more sweating, no longer taking up so much extra room! What a miracle!

The frequently asked question of whether size really matters is in front of us now and my answer, when it comes to a tiny computer is a resounding, “yes, Yes, YES!” Size does matter and so does weight. For me and my computer smaller is by far and away better.
