Your owner/manager is basing his decision on the amount of revenue each department generates. Apparently this is all that is important to him.
He obviously does not consider he has any civic duty in being fair to all. After all, war veterans are important, they were busy fighting for their country whilst he was coining the money.
He should realise that each department has its strengths and that to have a well rounded business, all are important.
