What is secondary glazing and condensation, you may want to know. Secondary glazing is a sheet of plastic or glass that is added to a window and frame, in the hopes of improving thermal and sound insulation. It is cheaper than replacing the windows and does help cut the expense of keeping the place warm or cooler. And it can reduce the condensation if done will.
It does not get rid of all the condensation and might cause the moisture to go into the wood window frame. This can cause the wood to rot from the inside out. It happens more in winter when the warm air from inside is lower than the external air. The most common is caused from steam created in the home.
The moisture will cause a great deal of damage if it does not dry out in a timely manner. The moisture causes wood to swell and it promotes mold to grow. A musty smell will develop. At times the condensation builds up and runs down the wall, causing hidden damage that will be seen when it is to late. It is best to eliminate the moisture before any damage can occur.
When the condensation is not taken care of on windows, it can cause some serious damage. In older homes they had tracks at the bottom of windows with little holes that let the water run out to the exterior. Companies use the secondary glazing to reduce some of the condensation. This may result in the wood rot.
Some things to look for if you think you may have a problem with condensation in your home. The window staying fogged up all day, having a musky smell, the condensation is running down the walls, you notice mildew and some discoloration on the walls. Sometimes the problems are not visible but the smell is evident.
There are some things that a person can do to help the condensation to cause problems in your home. Ventilation in the bathroom to outside, not inside, drying cloths out side on lines instead in cloths dryer, hanging wet cloths out of living area as a porch. Increasing the changing air in the premises help and changing fuel to electric, as gas has moisture.
Secondary glazing and condensation does not always work and can damage wood window frames. Keep ahead of the condensation will prevent big problems. Secondary glazing is very unlikely to eliminate all condensation, only reduce it. Preventive strategies works the best.

i know exactly what you are talking about . mine has a frost painting on it . i sold it for 175 $ i went to hardware store and got some bolts eye bolts . some rubber washers but i had to get a hose and cut the washers for the top of the glass . i got some really weird chains . it had like points on it . lead them up to a fixture i ran each wire separate and weaved it through the chains . had a hard time finding bright orange wiring . but i ran it up all 4 chains painted the chains flat black . they went into a brass cap from a ceiling fan . you know were the light fixture is . well it fastened to the ceiling fixture just right . then i got this horrid looking beauty ring from a junk store . i cleaned it up then gave it a good lacquer finish . but that wasn't enough i had to do this . i glued a ring on the bottom and hung a thingy from it . dont know what it is called but it is some decoration for those fancy tied back curtains .

Check out you local farm extension organization, they may have contacts with farmers that are interested in small logging companies to clear some tracts and typically do not require abnormally large insurance issues. But I firmly recommend that you have enough insurance to cover yourself and your client should some one get hurt on the job site. Also, it is just good business. Some times you can get short term insurance riders that are based upon specific projects you are doing and you only carry them until the job is done and the client signs a clearance waiver. Insurance companies do not advertise these as they do not make good residuals on them but they are out there.

Typically, there are two ways to do this:
1. People take some equity out of their houses by refinancing their mortgages
2. Use a line of credit on the house (which essentially is another loan)
In Scenario 1, as an example, if you purchased a home for $100K and a few years later the house goes up in value to $300K, then you've built up $200K in equity.
Some people take advantage of this by taking some of the equity out by refinancing — restructuring your mortage. Let's say you want to remodel and need $50K. You refinance your mortage from $100K to $150K. Now, you owe $50K more but you also take $50K out as money in your pocket. You can use this to remodel your house.
Of course, you can take even more money out based on what you think you can handle in terms of monthly mortgage payment. However, if you take too much out, then you're eating into your equity, and you may not want to do this to give yourself some cushion.
Please note that I'm not taking fees and points into account in this scenario (or any other).
In Scenario 2, taking a line of credit (much like 2nd mortgage) against the house is like getting a very flexible loan, where you can take as much or little out of your line of credit for your use (e.g., fixing up the house), up to the limit of the line of credit. You repay this back based on the terms of the loan. The total amount varies depending on the value of your house. However, the interest on the line of credit is typically adjustable.
Please note that this means that whatever the interest rate, your payment fluctuates with it.
This is a good idea if you don't have much equity on the house and if the interest rate is low.
However, I don't personally like this because you don't know what'll happen with the interest rate.
I'm not sure if $98K number you provided for the value of your house is based on an appraisal. If so, the value of the house is less than the amount you owe. This means that unfortunately you won't be able to take more money out of the house. However, if you meant $98K is the balance on the $150K, then you may want to check with an appraiser (if you don't want to pay someone, check http://www.zillow.com for a very, very rough estimate).
Please do note again that you need to do your homework and figure out what you can handle in terms of mortgage payment to ensure you don't get into financial trouble with refinancing, line or credit, or remodeling expense.
You've topped me. I make stained glass panels but the most expensive sheet I bought was about $25 for approx 1.5 sq ft.

The old-fashioned appeal of sash windows is one that is appreciated by many. Prior to the invention of the sash window, casement windows were widely in use. There was a status associated with having the new style of window, as it was quite an innovation at the time. The popularity of the sash has come and gone over time, but today many more people appreciate them for their attractiveness and benefits.
