Spinnerbaits are a fairly unique type of lure that many anglers across the country have used successfully to catch bass. It’s an interesting lure because it has a skirt, and really doesn’t look like a bait or crayfish. Many having struggled with understanding why bass hit spinnerbaits, but it must have something to do with vibration and reflection in the water. For some reason many bass can’t resist, and they have to take a bite.
But getting into the different kinds of spinnerbaits that are available out there, you need to consider the different components. Spinnerbaits are generally made up of a straight or bent shaft, with one or more blades, a jig head, and a skirt or worm on the hook. These parts and pieces coincide to make the spinner bait an excellent option that any bass fisherman, young or old needs to have at their disposal.
If you are able to get a few of these, you probably will want to start off getting yourself some natural colored spinner baits for warm and clear water conditions, and some vibrant colored spinnerbaits for murky and cold water conditions.
Using these different compilations can really attract some great largemouths. So don’t stand on the fence, if you want to be a strong bass angler, consider getting some of the baits to put in your tackle box. Spinnerbaits are inexpensive, and with a little time and practice, you can use them to reel in some good bass.
