It is no wonder with all the activity and the amount of people living in a home not to mention the pets, cooking, cosmetics and cleaning agents that are used as well that you are going to get a whole mixture of orders. This mixture tends to leave a home smelling quite stale.
There are home remedies that you can use to rid the house of the stale odors. To begin with, if your home is a smoking home will find that if you burn several candles that helps to correct the problem of the smelling home.
One of the biggest culprits for odors is pets and more so dogs than cats although the cats have their litter containers within the home that may be contributing to the smelling home as well.
If the odor is coming from an accident that has occurred on your carpet one thing that you can do to help remove it is use some vinegar and but don’t make it too strong and you don’t want to use any type of bleach because it could take out the color. You will find that several applications of vinegar water may do the trick. If this does not work, you may want to try pouring club soda directly onto the area and then soaking it up with a paper towel. Ideally, you want to get at these types of odors out as soon as they occur.
If you have been painting in your house and the paint fumes are strong try cutting an onion or two in half, and placing them on saucers in the room. This will go a long way at absorbing the odors.
If you have a damp basement you may want to try several pieces of charcoal, which also helps to absorb the smell, and by the way a piece or two in the fridge is great for keeping your fridge odorless as well.
Baking soda is the most wonderful product that is ever come out on the market for a variety of quick and easy home uses. In addition, of course one of those uses is for eliminating odors.
