An almost traditional or even classical American cleaning product, Dial soap is produced by Dial Corporation located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first time this soap brand started being produced, it belonged to the first soap manufacturing attempts of Armour and Company, more than a century ago, in 1888. Even if in its present-day structure the company produces other cleaning products, Dial soap remains a major brand and the element on which the success of the business relied in the first place. Tallow and other meat-by-products were the initial primary matter for the production of the soap, and the name was inspired by the promotion of the Dial soap as a 24h protection against perspiration.

In fact, Dial soap represents the first American antibacterial and deodorant soap ever produced in the United States. Since the soap proved extremely effective, the market success was not late to appear. Moreover, the non-medicinal clover-like fragrance made it easy to recognize and turned it into a favorite among all types of users. In time Dial soap diversity increased considerably with an extensive range of products that counted deodorants and shaving creams. Dial soap nevertheless remains the best sold product in its category in the 50s.

Because of the activity diversification of the company, the profits turned rather erratic and it was only after the purchase of Dial Corporation by Henkel in 2004 that the focus got back to personal care and laundry items. This equaled a new re-invention of the Dial soap on the market coinciding with its launch in Europe. The collection that Dial products are now part of are a lot more competitive and comprehensive with the expanding needs of the modern consumer. If in the 50s the soap was the deodorant one could rely on, now we use antibacterial soaps and deodorants as well.

Thus, the diversity of Dial soap variants is incredible, and one can choose from items with spa minerals and exfoliating beads, spring water, essential tropical oils, aloe, mountain scent, white tea, vitamin E and lots of others. Each Dial soap distinct line targets a specific user segment: thus, aloe and vitamin E work magic for sensitive skin, essential oils revitalize tissues while spa minerals serve great for the purpose of eliminating dead skin cells and toxins. Some people only choose Dial soap because they enjoy one fragrance or another, but regardless the variant, quality is the common feature of the entire collection.
